I was in Virginia this past weekend at my brother’s Coast Guard “A” School graduation, and there were these really intricate old boat engines on display.  I felt like they were straight out of a cartoon because of all of the parts sticking out in every direction.  They look as though there are too many pieces to all really be necessary.  This is a sketch based on one of them.  I anticipate a series of these and hopefully something else coming from this.
